This is a sneak peak of an upcoming campaign for Left 4 Dead 2, I decided to release this beta while I wait to finish it up on the L4D2 tools. You may want to turn the game settings to low for full FPS effect, as I ran into some optimization errors, and I'm afraid the resources are maxed out atm.

its annoyin when your on single player, the survivor bots just teleport through the locked doors so you cant progress rite, the furthest I got was to that key behind the wall were you have to play the piano, then I dunno where the key goes. Probably cos i never played resident evil 1 lol

The first thing I have to mention, is that I thought the saferoom doors being locked was unintentional - don't do that to players. L4D players know that rescue closets are useful and available in co-op play. Locking them essentially breaks that expectation, leaving players wondering, "why?"
I can see where you're coming from with regards to gameplay, but if you intentionally break too many "givens" that L4D players come to expect in their game, they aren't playing L4D anymore.

Ugg, yeah, I've got the new version waiting to be uploaded, 3.2 hours until it will let me. Yeah, I see exactly what you mean about the puzzles being a bit to extreme, was looking for some good feedback on them.. I guess I will have to tone them down a bit. The way I intended for it to be was like, well for the first part of the level, its 2 groups of 2 people, if someone were to say carelessly grab the shotgun on the wall.. It's a good bet that he will die and punish his partner for not being careful.
The rescue closets are locked however until the shield key is obtained, which would allow for the people who died to come back for the finale. But the painting puzzle I suppose without a doubt is one where if you don't do it correctly, your gonna die.. As is the armor key imitation puzzle, I've been looking for subtle ways around that, but if I didn't make it so harsh, it would be no different than any other L4D map.. Just blazing through a room grab the item and sprint out- smash every button without putting thought into it, etc. So worst case scenario, if you are new to the map, you just make sure to be very careful of the decisions you make.. If something is just sticking right out in the open, good bet it's a trap :P. I'm definitely gonna keep looking to improve it though, any suggestions you may have are very helpful.

Ujio did mention that there is an unintentional invisible wall on the third floor where you are supposed to replace the mansion key with the imitation key in order to both stop the trap and progress onwards.
Also, you use the fertilizer on the main floor in the west wing where there are a bunch of plants. ;)
