The period of feudal war of Ancient Russia, taken by developers as a basis of this Mod are bloody wars, both with external enemies, and with greedy neighbours. And still - campaigns to Byzantium, Tsargrad (that name in Russia named Constantinople). Game means will be dynamical, rigid and to miss will not give.
Hardly having declared itself, the project, has riveted attention. There were many questions. Developers have responded to them during a meeting which has passed at our forum. We also bring the most interesting endurances from it to your attention.

- To whom has the idea of the project come to mind, and what time frameworks covers Mod?
- The idea has comeom to VIR. He is the project head that as a result has appeared international. We were helped by the big international command: except from the former USSR were guys from Germany, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria .
Time frameworks: from 1015, from death of prince Vladimir, till 1204. Mongol invasion will not take place.
- Can result the full list of fractions?

- In classical RTW, and in many mods, always there are countries - leaders and countries - outsiders. Leaders - it for whom it is recommended to play and to conduct "imperial" campaigns. About outsiders - it is clear. What arrangement by fraction on force?
- Well, by itself, the leader is Byzantium. Very good starting conditions at Volzhskaya Bulgariya. Poland and Novgorod are strong. Kipchaks has very powerful horde on start - until they will not settle them it is practically impossible to stop!
It would be possible to carry to leaders also Kiev, but at them it is a lot of neighbours who aim a slice of land, and Kipchaks are goes directly to Kiev!
Polotsk, Ryazan, Hazarian Kahanat and Smolensk are weak!
Hazarian Kahanat, for example, have the weakest cities, it is not enough population and money, on the first course leave in a minus. It is fraction for fans of a hard! But if this fraction to shake, already nobody will stop it. At them practically the strongest infantryman in game of 5th level and a strong cavalry!
- What will tell about units?
- All units are absolutely new, from the original we took nothing. Armies are completely processed! The basic structure of armies at Russian fractions similar - identical model, but different skins. Russian fractions can be divided on steppe and wood.
At first armies more horses, at the second - infantry, plus everyone has a number of unique units!
The longest ruler of armies, perhaps, at Kiev. The strongest infantry, in my opinion, is Swedish and Byzantian!
- What religions are presented?
- 1) Christianity 2) Paganism 3) Islam 4) the Judaism.
Pagans - Pechenigs and Kipchaks! A mix of pagans and Christians are Rostov, Ryazan and Swedes! Islam - Volzhskaya Bulgariya and Seldzhuki! A Judaism - Hazars (with a considerable share of Islam and partially Pagan)!
All other fractions - Christians or with prevalence of Christianity!
Churches will be at all. At Christians - temples, at Jews - synagogues.
- What can tell about a gameplay, about campaigns?
- In the game beginning almost all Russian princedoms in the union. Byzantium is at war at once with Bulgarians. There will be three hordes. "Senate" tasks, certainly, will not be.
- How many provinces on a map?
- Only 130. The western edge of a map goes from Dubrovnik to Gdansk, through Baltic, separates a part of Sweden. On the north the map border passes through southern Finland, halves Ladoga and further to UralsMountains. The Eastern frontier goes across UralsMountains, through Caspian sea near to Derbent to Tabriz - this city the most extreme, it to be in a map corner. The southern border goes through Asia Minor, to the south of Tsargrad and Ohrida, crosses the Balkans and incorporates to the western edge in Aegean sea!
- How with historical realism is? For example, Novgorod was a rich trading city. In game it too is rich?
- Have given to it of any resources more that traded! And we to Novgorod have made access to the sea, of Ilmen through Volkhov, then Ladoga and Neva to Baltic!
As a whole we aspired to the maximum realism. But game and history are not always compatible. Somewhere something should be missed, and something to draw for ears, sometimes to invent. We were helped strongly by professional historians, but nevertheless game is game. |
