Ok I got the game about 50 mins ago, ive installed it and been playing for about 20 - 25 mins...

my specs:

2.80 Ghz
512 ram
ATI radeon 9550

I have everything on lowest settings and it runs fine.. I'm sure im getting about 30fps and I havn't experienced any drop in framerate, even in combat with the goblins. The graphics are still awesome on low settings.

Direct3D都有固定的渲染管线，送入顶点位置、法线、纹理坐标等，定义光源，就可以给你渲染出一幅图像来，程序员对具体的渲染过程无法控制。

而Direct8扩展给渲染管线引入可编程特性，可以写一段小程序运行于显卡硬件（或软件模拟）控制具体的渲染过程，这段小程序在DirectX称为shader。

shader分为两种，
一种是顶点级的，称为vertex   shader，取代固定渲染管线中的变换和光照部分，程序员可以自己控制顶点变换、光照等。
一种是像素级的，称为pixel   shader，取代固定渲染管线中的光栅化部分，程序员可以自己控制像素颜色和纹理采样等

显卡中这2个shader ver数值越大，处理shader的性能就越好.
