What is The Sims 3: Generations?
Generations is the fourth expansion pack for the PC version of The Sims 3.
Teenage rebellion
Teens get new ways to act out with a suite of pranks they can pull, including doorbell ditch, setting flaming bags on neighbor porches, throwing eggs at houses, planting whoopie cushions, and putting dye in the shower head. They can also throw parties and attend school dances.
Rebel with a cause
Sims with the new rebellious character trait get a mood boost when they pull off a prank on another Sim.
Your very own imaginary friend
Kids now have a much deeper pretending life, from new toys like the costume trunk and treehouse, to their very own imaginary friend, which no one else but that Sim can see.
But best to keep all of that pretending on the well-behaved side, because parents have a deeper punishment system available that allows for timeouts, groundings, or banishment of favorite toys.
Time for a little weird science
The new chemistry skill allows you to make stink bombs for practical jokes, execute the ninja vanish trick, and even bring an imaginary friend to life.
Bring on the rugrats!
The newest career track for The Sims 3 is that of daycare worker. Hope you like kids!
Being a player...
Sims earn romantic reputations -- if they're running around town trying to woo every other Sim on the block, it's going to show up and could have an impact on future attempts to get busy with other Sims.
Bachelor party mayhem
In addition to more elaborate weddings, brides- and grooms-to-be can have bachelor and bachelorette parties, which come complete with party dancers and/or very-special firemen or policemen.
Speaking of bachelor parties
Sims can toast each other and spray each other with "sparkling nectar." If Sims are feeling frisky, they can now have woo-hoo in the shower.
There are also lots of new items, including...
* Bunkbeds & lofts for the first time ever in history of Sims
* Video camera, which lets you take footage of any in-game events, and then go home and watch the footage on any TV in their house
* Tree houses, which come in three flavors: castle, clubhouse, sci-fi hideaway
* Dress-up trunks that include costumes like dinosaur, astronaut and prince or princess
* Body hair! But for the dudes only
* Sleeping bags, which were in The Sims 2 but haven't yet been in The Sims 3
When is it out?
The Sims 3: Generations is available on May 31, 2011. |
