This led him to make a small admission about where the future of the Total War series lies.
Simpson teased: "There's a whole range of options for where we want to take Total War - many periods in history, fantasy and science fiction. Fantasy is an area that would giive us a a lot of options."
He added: "It's not so much a case of choosing what to do but rather choosing what order we want to do these ideas in. I just couldn't tell you what order we're going to use them in yet."

Naval battles to be better in Shogun 2 The naval battles from the feudal Japanese period are much more like the ground battles with there being different types of ships that do different things like archery ships.

Mike Simpson, the mind behind the series said: "The naval battles in Empire were pretty poor because it was just a case of the biggest ship wins. This time around they will be much more like the land battles."

The battles will also feature coastal land which will add a whole new strategic dimension to the naval warfare. There probably won't be any sea-to-land assaults this time around though.
