Obs做人物的功底是非常强大的,如2005年GS年度人物Kreia:
Anyone who played Obsidian's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords might be surprised at our choice of Kreia as best character of the year. That's because Kreia is a deeply unpleasant, highly disturbing, and incredibly hateful person - but that's why she deserves the accolade. Kreia was easily the most intriguing, complicated, enigmatic, well-designed and nuanced character in a video game this year. Spend a little time journeying with Kreia and you'll quickly realize that she's the one who gives the game's story an almost Planescape: Torment-level of gravitas (which isn't a surprise, as the two games share the same writer).
Kreia is a fallen Jedi who's fallen farther than any Jedi ever has. Not only has she gone from the Light Side to the Dark Side, she has the distinction of actually falling from the Dark Side to absolute nihilism and an everlasting hatred of life and the Force. She spends much of the game helping the player probe the ethical implications of both sides of the Force, pointing out that the world and morality are much more complicated than any simplistic "Light Side" and "Dark Side" dichotomy.
Kreia believes that all of life is formless, patternless, and futile, and that all choices lead to nothing. She's all about moral ambiguity in a realm of stark moral choices. It's up to the player to learn her lessons, then move past her to realize that her nihilism is, in the end, self-defeating and that the act of choice is what gives form and pattern to the universe. Kreia can teach a player more about basic moral philosophy and the flaws of Nietzsche in one game than a full semester in college -- and make a trip full of heavy-duty thought a whole lot of fun. |
