圣武士?there was totally no such thing as a class or school or cabal in the real medieval europe. it's just a metaphor or sth.
and speaking of the famous(or infamous) order of templar and the Hospitaller(aka.the order of Malta island),they r just military monk,to be specific.and no
one,ever called them as paladin.p.s, those military monks only swore their fealty to the Pope,so that brought themselves almost every mundane sovereigns 's
resentment.
u can say Roland(nephew of the great Charlemagne) is one of the renowned 12 paladin,that is fine,but after that,never heard about anyone of those knights,
lord,prince was named as a paladin,let me tell u,it is not a official title at all,neither a rank of the feudal system.
but in german,one of the emperors actually elevated a minion of his to the rank of the empire peers,count of paladine by official title.that is one case. |
