If you have X3 already installed.
1. Ensure you have latest version of X3. Currently version 2.5.
If you need to update it use this: X³: Reunion Update 1.0 -> 2.0.02 and then this: X³: Reunion Update 2.0.02 -> 2.5
2. Be 100% certain you have no other mods installed in your X3Reunion\mods folder.
(You can disable a mod via your X3 Splashscreen menu).
3. Download the XTM Script package and XTended mod core files in RAR or 7ZIP archive.
4. Open the .RAR or .7Zip archive and extract its content to your X3Reunion directory,
where the X3.EXE file is located (X3 root directory).
Note: Make sure you don't have a .Dat/.Cat file with a number higher than 10.
If you do - rename your Xtended .Dat/.Cat file to a higher number (11, 12 etc.).
A directory called "soundtrack" will also be included in the .RAR or .7Zip package,
extract its content into your X3Reunion\soundtrack folder (Overwriting any files that require overwriting).
5. Install the XScript Installer by Cycrow.
Note: Be sure to select the correct language options of this program!
6. Doubleclick on the downloaded XTM script .SPK package to install
(original filename: XtendedModScripts+Patch-0.7.3.spk).
You can close Cycrow's installer after its done installing.
Note: This type of installation means there wont be a selection in the "Select mod package" option in the X3 splash screen - this is normal.

If you don't have X3 installed
1. Install X3 - Reunion.
2. Update X3 to version 2.0.02. using X³: Reunion Update 1.0 -> 2.0.02 and then X³: Reunion Update 2.0.02 -> 2.5
3. If you would like the Egosoft Bonus pack, [OPTIONAL] Install Egosoft X³ All In One Bonus Package (v3.1.07) .
4. Download XTM .7a core files and patch w/scriptfiles
5. Unpack the XTM.7a.rar files (10.cat, 10.dat and Soundtrack directory) to your main X3 directory overwriting any files if asked to do so.
6. Using XScript Installer by Cycrow install downloaded XTM Scriptpack (by double-clicking on the downloaded XtendedModScripts+Patch-0.7.3.spk file).

What you should know before starting
Now you have installed XTM, it's time to give it a testing...
But first, what you should know is that the X3 Engine runs through it's initialisation when you start a new game - this means that it sets up sectors etc.
If you do not start a new game,
* You will not get any of the NEW XTM sectors, -
all the pirates will be squeezed into the existing ones (good if you like them).
* You will not be able to do the XTM Plot.
* You will also not be able to get some of the M0 ships!
(Although you can still get a Leviathan).
You can convert save games and that can be done with the save-game converter,
but note the list above showing what you will not get.
另外，我記得安裝了mod後，要在遊戲開始視窗或X-plugin Manager內先點選Xtended mod，再點選"start game"。你透過X-plugin Manager安裝了Xtended 的 sub-script，當然要在開啟了X-plugin manager的情況下，再點選進入遊戲。再者，Xtended mod已說了自己不兼容其他mod及部分script了...
