What is the different between holographic and red dot sight?

Can anyone find the different?I cant find any except the appearance.

个人认为基本没有任何区别，就是个人习惯罢了，我喜欢红点，瞄准视线好点

For RDS, you can always see the red dot at any angle. But you have to line up your eye with it and the front iron sight to aim the target

For holographic, the red dot is projected into the scope, you won't see it if your eye is several degree off.
But as long as the red dot appears in the scope, you can always trust the location it pointed, no front iron sight is required to line up for the target
