以下为游戏新特性:(最后面有视频)

It's a few weeks since Ubisoft mapped out The Settlers 7. We have a lot of information by now, actually some of us played the games yet in the office of BlueByte.
I played the title myself, but I can't tell you more than the officially published informations - NDA and so on, you know. Wink
Well, here is a list with the most important facts of Settlers 7 - if you have questions just ask - I will answer them as far as I am able to. Wink
The basics:
* To win a match in Settlers 7 you need enough victory points - in every match there is a limit of vp's which you must reach at first (usually 5)
* But it is still also possible to win a match by defeating your enemys with military
* Settlers 7 will be divided in three parts to capture a victory: Military, Trade and Science
* If you achieve progress in one part, you gain vp's.
* You don't have to decide for one part - you can mix them, but of course it's clever to concentrate on a single part in a match
* All three parts base on your economic system - without a working economy you can't win the game
* A map is partitioned in sectors - such as in Settlers 6
* You can also get variable vp's, e.g. 3 more sectores than your enemys, 20 more soldiers than your enemys, etc. You can loose them
* Between your sectors an the sectors of your enemy there are neutral sectors - every neutral sector is guarded by military units
* Settlers 7 is especially construed for exciting multiplayer games - therefore it is played faster than previous Settlers games
* There will be a singleplayer campaign too - the most important feature of the campaign is to introduce the player to the game
The economy:
Settlers 7 will have a new economic system with a lot of features of the previous games. It is not that simple to explain this new sytem, but I will try. Wink
* Well, the economy is driven by serfs again, who transport goods through a network of roads - similarly to Settlers II
* Instead of flags you know have storehouses. A serf carries your goods from a building to the nearest storehouse and later from the storehouse to a processing worker
* You will have to build a lot of storehouse to reduce the walking distances
* Due to theese warehouses you have non centralistic settlements - unlike in Settlers 6
* You also need constructors for your buidlings
* You start with a constructor-house, a storehouse, a tavern (for building military units) and a castle.
* There are just six "mainbuildings", every mainbuidling can be extend by three of five to six workstations such as a woodcutter or a sawmill
* For example: To build a stonecutter you first need to place the appropriated mainbuilding, in this case a mountain lodge.
* The mountain lodge can be builded everywhere an has three slots for the workstations around it. For every slot you can choose between 5-6 buildings - in this case: coal-, iron-, gold- or oremine, or the mentioned stonecutter
* Every mainbuilding has three slots - such as the mountain lodge
* Another mainbuilding is the "lodge" - there you can build a fisher, hunter, sawmill, woodcutter or a forester.
* Example: You build a lodge an fill the slots with one woodcutter, one forester and one sawmill. Or you take one forester and two woodcutters -> then you would need to build the sawmill in another lodge. In this case the wood would be first carried into a storehouse, then into the sawmill
* The workers sleep in the mainbuilding and work in their workstation
* Every workstation consumes a "tool" to be constructed
* "Tools" you produce with the toolmaker - to do this iron is required, which is produced in a iron melt out of iron ore and coal
* There are two kinds of food: Usual food and fancy food
* Usual food is e.g. fish, or bread (Produced with a farm, a mill and a baker)
* Fancy food is processed meat - e.g. hunted animals by the hunter are carried to the butcher who makes fancy food. Or meat by the piggery that requires corn and water
* But: Most good circuits don't have more than two intermediate goods
The military:
* The game has a indirect-military system
* The Settlers 7 will have four military units: Pikemen, Musketeers, Cavalery and Cannons
* You have troops each with one general - you can order just one at a time
* If you want to attack a sector, you click on a troop, the you click on the desired sector.
* The troops will fight for themself, you can't control them meanwhile
* You can beat retreat, if you see that your units are too weak.
* You DON'T need military to win a match - you win with victory points and you can gain vp's also by science or trade!
* You are also able take over sectors on a peaceful way - mostly by paying gold
The Science:
* If you concentrate on the science-part your most important building will be the church where you train three kinds of researchers: novices, frater and priests
* You will need beere, bread and bibles to train them
* You can only research new improvements for your units and your economy - but no new buildings
* The research of new technologies will be achieved in an own board - all available technologies are placed in system that looks like a cobweb
* You could call this as a "game in the game"
* Every player starts at one "edge" around this cobweb. If you want to research a technologie that is more central in this web you first need to research the techs that are more outside (and therefore nearer to the player) -> thus you try to make your way to the center of this web.
* In the center of the web there is another victory point to gain
* To start researching a tech you need a certain amount of researchers. The research will take a predetermined time - in this time another player can "pay" more researchers that you -> then he is the highest bidder
* This system is similar to ebay
* Be careful: The maingame continues in the background while you watch the Science-board
The Trade:
* There are three kinds of traders: street hawker, salesman and tradesman
* In every map there are several neutral ports and trading posts
* With trading you are able to gain vp's too and furthermore unique resource deals
* You hire the traders in a trading post against clothes/jewels
* The tradingprocess occures on a world map, where you can discover/occupy certain connected routes
* To do this you need a certain amount of traders
Prestige:
* You can get prestigepoints e.g. for building beautifications, or for certain technologies/trading routes
* With prestigepoints you can unlock buildingoptions and -improvement in a small techtree
* Some examples: You can upgrade streets (then your settlers will walk faster), you can unlock an option to build more constructor-houses
* You also need them to unlock the most important building of the three parts of the game: military/trade/science
More information:
* There will be women in Settlers 7
* Settlers 7 will base on a complete new engine
* The game will have a dynamic daily routine and changes in the weather, but without influence to the gameplay
* The AI will also be available in multiplayer games
* You wil be able to save the game in MP matches
* There will be no seafaring
to be continued...

A few minutes ago the first gameplay video was released:

It's in german, but I think it's interesting to see the game anyway.
