I know the techtrees are old news, but I was just taking another look at them and I noticed something that doesn't make much sense to me.
The prereq structure for the Colossus, the Robotics facility, requires a Stargate in order to be built. Since Colossi are basically Protoss equivalents of siege tanks (heavy anti-ground support role) I'd expect them to be down in T2, like siege tanks, but are apparently higher up.
Anyone else find this a bit strange?

Xordiah:The Stargate is not a prerequisite for the Robotics Facility, only the Cybernetics Core is. It looks a bit confusing on the tech tree that you saw. Also for the Protoss tech tree it looks like the Stargate is required for a number of the different next tier buildings but in reality it is only required for the Fleet Beacon, the Robotics Facility is required for the Robotics Bay, the Twilight Council for the Templar Archives and the Dark Shrine.

      Xordiah:星门并不是机械研究室的前置建筑,只有控制核心才是。你对科技树的理解可能有一些混乱。在星灵科技树中,看似星门能够解锁它下面的不同建筑,但实际上只有舰队航标需要星门来解锁,机械研究室解锁机械站,光影议会解锁圣堂档案馆和黑暗圣所。

I actually like how Zerg look and feel, I'm thinking about going Zerg as main race when StarCraft 2 comes out, even if my avatar is an old Protoss model. And just to assure you, our balance team is working hard on making all three races viable against each other.

THANKS FOR RUBBING IT IN! But seriously, are the attempts at balancing right now mostly in new units/new abilities/moving existing units and abilities around/ or changing costs and damage? (Or all of the above?)
Providing the above information will spoil nothing nor require any form of commitment!

Xordiah:At the moment mostly last option with maybe a bit of the third mixed in. But that is not to say that the other two things can't happen anymore. I am sure when we get into beta there will still be a lot of changes coming to make everything feel "just right".

So once you pick your avatar they won't let you change, or do you just like that it takes two Karunes to make a Xordiah?

      虽然我的头像是个老的星灵模型,事实上我喜欢异虫的外观和感觉,我正在考虑星际2出来后主修异虫。而且我向你们保证,我们的平衡团队正在努力地工作,来使三个种族互相之间都足以抗衡。

      吐槽GJ!不过有个严重的问题,现在在平衡的主要是新单位/新科技/修改现有单位的能力/还是修改造价和伤害?(或者是以上所有?)解释这些问题可不需要什么承诺了吧!

      Xordiah:现在在最终阶段了,可能是在平衡与第三种(译者:平衡造价和伤害)接近的东西。不过这并不代表其他两方面就不会再平衡了。我可以肯定地讲,beta开始后,仍有大量的细节需要改动,来使得所有地方“恰到好处”。

      那么你的头像……是一旦你选择了就不能改变了,还是说两个卡肉合成一个Xordiah(译者:Xordiah的头像是执政官,卡肉的头像是高阶圣堂武士)?

      Xordiah:哈哈。。。GJ,不知卡肉做何感想。;)
