This article is very short, so do not expect a whole eight-page breakdown on the topic, but I feel that what I have stated is enough to prove my opinion.

When asked the question, who are the top-three players in the NBA today, just about every NBA fan will say Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James.
However, one fact that ticks like a time bomb, is well...time.

Kobe Bryant is 30 years old, Dwyane Wade is 27, and LeBron James is 24. Kobe Bryant has about 2-to-3 good years, and 4-to-5 years all together left in the NBA. Wade has about 5-to-7 good years left, and 7-to-9 years left all together. And LeBron...I have no idea when this guy is going to slow down.

Kobe is going to retire in another five years, so one would question, "who is going to be the next Kobe Bryant"? As in, who is going to be the bonafide player that no one is going to want to go against?

1 Shaq—Kobe and Wade both have rings with Shaq, Kobe just happened to catch Shaq in his golden years.

2 Life After Shaq—When Shaq left, Kobe was forced to put on 30-point performances night in, night out, for his team to have a chance at the playoffs. That actually sounds a lot l ike Wade, which would explain his career high in points averaged, blocks, steals, assists, and games played. If Dwyane Wade actually had a partner like Shaq, there wouldn't be enough basketballs to go around.

That sounds a lot like Dwyane Wade last year when putting up career highs. Kobe also was a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year then, and Dwyane Wade was this year.
