Last night, my computer froze up when I was on a website. I tried pressing ctrl, alt, and delete and that wouldn't work so I shut down the computer by holding down the power button.
I turned my computer back on and after the blue HP screen came up, a black screen came up that said "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I restarted my computer multiple times and a few of those times it would let me log on to my account but when I went on to Firefox, the computer froze up again. Now every time I restart my computer, the "reboot" screen shows up. I tried opening malwarebytes in safe mode but my computer froze. I have tried going back in to safe mode again and it won't let me. I went to the "boot device priority" settings and made "hard drive group" the first boot device and it still won't work.
In the main settings, the "1st drive" is set to "none". I went on to it to see if anything was there I could set it to and nothing was.
What can I do to make my computer back to normal? I did not mess with any of the settings and everything was working fine before it froze last night so I have no idea why it started doing this.
If this matters, my computer is an "HP pavillion media center m8530f PC" and I have Windows Vista.
Thanks for your help. |
