This is a guide on how to make very cost efficient use of the Corruptor and the Devourer Tank. The combination of these units can devastate a large force, and cost a lot less to make than your opponent's force did. Making effective use of this combination can be difficult, and will take practice.

Devourers

The Devourer Tank cost 1,400 credits and deals a little bit less damage than the Predator Tank. It has about the same hp as the Predator Tank, and can crush infantry. It has 350 range, which is the longest non-artillery range of a vehicle in the game. It is only matched by the Tripod and the Avatar in range, which both have 350 range. You can select the Devourer Tank and right click on a patch of Tiberium to 'supercharge' it. Supercharging a Devourer Tank will get it 10 extra range, making it 360.

This supercharge gives it about 50% more attack power, making it quite a bit stronger than the Predator Tank. You charge it at a patch of Tiberium or your Extractor, though the Extractor charge seems to be a bit bugged and not always works. It will drain about 100 credits from you, if you charge it at the Extractor. I heard that it makes a Tiberium patch less valuable, if you charge it at one, but I am not sure. A patch of Tiberium will not shrink or disappear from you charging your Devourer Tanks at it.

Now that you know the basics of the Devourer Tank, it is time to talk about tactics that you can use against your opponent by making use of its 350 range and its supercharge ability.

The Devourer Tank is easy to maneuver. It can fire while moving, which lets you 'kite' other tanks around. Kiting means to make use of your longer range by attacking your opponent and then backing up, staying out of your opponent's range, but still staying close enough so that your attacks can hit him. If your opponent decides to give chase, then that is good. You will be able to get a bunch of free shots in, because of your range, and your opponent will not be able to harm you.

When charged, the Devourer Tank is stronger than any other Tier 1 or Tier 2 vehicles. The only Tier 1/Tier 2 vehicle that rivals its hp is the Predator Tank, and no non-artillery vehicle in the game has better range than a charged Devourer Tank.

So, if you make use of all the advantages that the Devourer Tank has over other vehicles, then you will be able to make it a cost efficient vehicle/structure destroying machine.

Corrupters

The Corruptor is basically Scrin's version of the Flame Tank, except it cannot fire while moving and deals a lot less damage vs. structures. To make up for this, it can rapidly heal your own infantry and vehicles, if you force fire the Corruptor on them. You can force fire on the ground or your own units/structures by holding the 'Ctrl' key on your keyboard and right clicking where you want to fire.

In my opinion, the Corruptor has better anti-infantry capabilities than the Flame Tank, even though it deals less damage. The reason I think this is because it takes less time to aim than the Flame Tank. Rather than slow down and stare at its target for a while, it instantly turns and fires. The Corruptor can quite effectively crush infantry, so don't forget to make use of that function when you see a situation that looks like crushing the infantry might be more effective than firing at them.

The Corruptor can sometimes cause Visceroids to appear when it kills infantry.

TheVisceroids deal hardly any damage, but the game thinks they're worth 1,000 credits. So, killing just 1 Visceroid with a Militant/Rifleman Squad will cause it to become a Veteran. A unit has to kill 3x its cost to get promoted.

Now that you know the basics of the Corruptor, I shall now talk about how you can make effective use the Corruptor and the Devourer Tank in combination with each other.

When you attack with your Corruptors and Devourer Tanks, you should have 2-5 Corruptors and 2+ Devourer Tanks. When you see your opponent attacking one of your Devourer Tanks, force fire all your Corruptors onto it so that your opponent cannot kill it. The Corruptors will heal it so rapidly that all the damage your enemy deals to it will be nearly instantly healed.

3 Corruptors and 2 Devourer Tanks can kill 5 Predator Tanks without any of your units being destroyed, as long as you control them properly.

If your opponent used attack move and the damage is being spread out, then try to put 1 Corruptor on each of the units being damaged. Put 2 of them on a unit that is being damaged more than 1 Corruptor can handle.

Your opponent will probably get wise to your strategy and start trying to attack the Corruptors. If that happens, then focus fire all your Corruptors on the Corruptor being attacked. Your opponent will likely switch targets quite often, trying to kill one of your Corruptors or Devourer Tanks before you start to heal it. That is where the difficult part comes in, since you have to be very quick to keep them alive. Practice at it and you should be able to deal with it.

Your Corruptors have a small area of effect in their attack, so you can actually heal multiple units with 1 Corruptor, as long as you have them positioned properly. Here is a picture of this happening with 3 Seekers.

All 3 of those Seekers are being healed at the same time, even though the Corruptors are only focused on 1 Seeker.

Once you have fought your way into your opponent's base and are now near his buildings, you may wish to tell 1 or 2 of your Corruptors to start attacking buildings, while the other Corruptors provide healing and your Devourer Tanks fight off your opponent's vehicles.

If your opponent starts making a lot of Rocket/Missile Squads, then use 'The Swarm' ability, and start try to crush the infantry with your Devourer Tanks.

Attacking with just Corruptors and Devourers will likely not finish off your opponent, but it is a cost efficient way to stall them while you tech up to Tripods and Devastators. Using Corruptors on Tripods is quite effective, too.

Before I go any farther, it should be known that although the Stealth Tank received a 66% damage increase in 1.09, they should not be used for taking on Preds/Mammoths Scorps/Fanatics or Seekers/Tripods.

Before considering harassment with the Stealth Tanks, you should already have scouted out your opponent. Please refer to last weeks TotW on scouting.

The advantage stealth tanks have is the ability of stealth and their quick maneuverability. Use this to your advantage.

If you are looking to wreak havoc in taking out a tech, a crane, or just some harvesters here are some recommended numbers:

Crane: 1 Stealth tank can get the job done if you can sneak past any detecting units/structures.

Some things to remember:

Be sure you distract while you are sending in your Stealth Tanks. If you force your opponent to worry about the battle at hand, then you should be able to do more damage in his base.

Also, never use “Q” when you are using NOD. You should always move groups separately so you are given more control and more of the “element of surprise”

Before attacking your opponent, be sure to assess his base, and target key buildings first.

A good tip for being able to scout without the risk of losing units would be to use the "Decoy Army" on one of your Stealth Tanks and you will be able to Scout his base with the Decoy Unit.

Attacking with Stealth Tanks:

Although the main purpose of the Stealth tank is for harassment, they are also great for attacking as well. If your opponent is throwing infantry at you, put a Stealth Tank or two on hold fire and simply squish them with you Stealth Tanks.

Stealth Tanks are great for taking out Juggernauts and Avatars for two reasons:

2) They take a few seconds to actually fire, that said 4-5 of them can wipe out an Avatar/ Juggernaut with relative ease.

Remember to use hold fire when you are trying to weave your way into your opponents base.

In conclusion, use their strengths to your advantage. Stealth Tanks are best for hit and run due to their paper armor. They restealth very fast (around 2.5 seconds) so if you can get behind units, throw a few volleys and then you're off!

器官兽就是图中没脑袋的那个东西,游戏系统认为如果可以制造的话它价值1000元,而升级是根据单位消灭的敌人的总价值来定的,消灭3倍于自己总价值的敌人可以升一级

恩,nod的优势在于机动性和隐蔽性,出其不意是根本,很练操作的,游击战的精髓,以少胜多,以弱胜强,哈

The name of this TotW implies that it is only about GDI’s Engineer, but it will talk about Saboteurs and Assimilators too. So, for the sake of simplification, when it says “Engi. or Engies”, it refers to all those three base capturing units. If it uses the words “Engineer”, “Sabatour” or “Assimilator”, it is referring to that specific unit.

Most players think about the “Engies” just as a way to capture their opponent’s buildings, but truly, there are several other things that can be done with them.

Offensive “Engies”

When you read the title, you thought about the infamous Engineer + APC Rush, didn't you? It is a very powerful early game tactic, but most people just stop using “Engies” right here. They can be used anytime in the game, not just in early rushes. For GDI, using “Engies” is a lot easier, because APC's greatly help protecting them from harm.

However, the two other factions can use “Engies” the same way, it is just a little more risky. Instead of Rushing with Engies, you should mix them with your troops. Distract the enemy, attack in two places at once, and them, use the “Engies” to capture some of his buildings.

Most people complain that in CnC3, it is a little hard to kill structures. It is true, but we have here a great way to workaround this issue. Bringing “Engies” with you is always good (not that much if you lack Micro skills), because usually, you will get your opponent of-guard.

Attacking Expansions:

Use your units to take out weak targets and defenses, while your “Engies” run for the tougher structures, like Refineries and Warfactories. This is very useful, and if it works, you will have a brand new expansion to use, built by your enemy.

As always, this works pretty well for GDI early game, but as Nod, after the Operations Center and an Air-Tower, you get access to the CarryAll. This may be even better than an APC, because it is faster.

Scrin needs to wait until the MasterMind or the Worm-Hole to get access to fast Assimilators deployment, but even before that, bringing some with you and protecting them won’t hurt.

Attacking the Main Base:

Following the same logic, bringing “Engies” with you may mean a great advantage if used right when attacking a main Base. Hit Defenses and Anti-Inf units first, and when you feel comfortable, send the “Engies” that where waiting behind your forces to capture tougher buildings that take too long to destroy. Focus your Fire-Power at weaker targets, and let the “Engies” do the rest.

Again, APCs mean a great advantage here, but CarryAlls, The MasterMind and the Worm-Hole work pretty well and even better.

Taking “Engies” along with your main Army has another advantage later in the game: Any Walker you destroy may be used against your enemy. Keep that in mind. When 1.09 arrives, less money will mean fewer units, and every thing you get to help you may save your life.

Defensive “Engies”

Another thing that most people forget about “Engies” is that they fully repair any building they enter instantly. When Firehawks are constantly Stratoo-Boosting to Attack your ConYard, why repair it in the conventional way? Just build some “Engies” and use them to repair it. Cheaper and faster. Other buildings may be saved by this tactic, like Tech Centers, Refineries, Warfactories, even Rigs can benefit from this feature.

The above tactic also works beautifully for Walkers. When in your base, build two Barracks behind them, and keep reviving them as they fall. It certainly isn’t easy, but it is useful.

The Assimilator

For Scrin, there is a special use for Assimilators. Selling buildings to avoid Engi-Rushes and losing DroneShips in moments of distraction are common things. To avoid this, try building some Assimilators and put them as close as possible from your key buildings, and at the moment your opponent captures it, just recapture it. Assimilators have this nasty ability to remain invisible when still, which greatly improves this tactic.

Most players don’t bring Stealth Detection with their APCs, so, if you are fast enough, you have at least 80% of chance to have you base back. Obviously, he can sell it, but it will depends on who is faster.

For Nod, there is also a special use for Sabatours, the Booby Trap.

You can plant a Booby Trap on a Tiberium Spike. If your opponent tries to capture it, the Tiberium Spike will explode, killing the “Engi” and destroying the Tiberium Spike.

Sometimes, this is good, and other times, it is better to recapture it (most of the time it is better to Booby Trap it).

Basically, you won’t see this being done a lot because of the huge regrowth rate that Tiberium has, but it can sometimes be effective to destroy the Tiberium that comes out of a destroyed Tiberium Spike. If you’re sure you’re not going to get it, then make some attempts at destroying some of it.

Just kidding. Now, onto the real way to effectively destroy Tiberium.

Any army can destroy Tiberium, but Nod is by far the best at it, and actually the only one that can make it worthwhile. So, I’ll discuss only the ways Nod can destroy Tiberium, with a few exceptions (which will be mentioned later). Any unit that does ground damage can damage the Tiberium, other than a few exceptions which aren't worth mentioning. Each green patch you destroy is 700$ that has to regrow; 1400$ if it is blue.

The Flame Tank is by far the best at doing this job, it can destroy a decent amount of Tiberium in 8 seconds. You can kill 4-6 patches at a time, if you aim for the right spot.

Not only can you destroy the Tiberium, you might be able destroy your opponent's Refinery, too.

The Tiberium Vapor Bomb can destroy a large amount of Tiberium, but it is probably more worthwhile to save it for Tech Centers and your opponent's army.

Superweapons.

The superweapons are: the Temple of Nod, Ion Cannon Control Center, and the Rift Generator. They can all can destroy an entire Tiberium field, but you will probably want to save it for your opponent army, or maybe his structures.

A successful Mothership hit can annihilate an entire Tiberium field, especially handy since the 25% speed buff the Mothership got.

The Catalyst effect will not occur off of Tiberium, which means it cannot destroy an entire field unless there are units in it to cause the spread to happen.

仅仅提个意见,有时候不一定要100%按照句子直译,按照意思根据中文的语言习惯变换一下句式读起来会更加通顺。
比如:
When you see your opponent attacking one of your Devourer Tanks, force fire all you ...

感谢提醒,只是有时候翻译的时候一时反应不出合适的话,只是按图索骥的直译了。。。自己感觉也很别扭
