An 3D open source space flight simulator
A modification of the Vega Strike 3D open source space flight simulatorthat attempts to improve upon the experience and bring the spirit ofthe original Privateer game by Origin to today`s computers. It isavailable for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.
Privateer Remake has spawned two main offshoots (these also use theVega Strike engine): Privateer Gemini Gold --- forgoes some of theadditional missions and content in Privateer Remake in favor ofgameplay that is more faithful to the original Privateer. WingCommander Universe --- provides a framework for Wing Commander modsusing Vega Strike and encompasses the Wing Commander game seriescovering the human Confederation-Kilrathi war. It is still undergoingdevelopment and includes ships from Wing Commander 1 to Wing Commander3 and Privateer.
