【质量效应】开始乱搞~一切从用Ashley做主角开始

目的：把主角换成游戏中的任意一个人，把队友换成游戏中的任意一个人。
1 我是搬运工，呼唤小白鼠。显卡出问题了，玩不了质量效应了。

2 修改前先备份记录，备份你要改的文件，常识了。
3 有死机可能，可以说现在没有完美的方案。由论坛的回复看来，换主角基本成熟，换队友基本没戏。
4 很多NPC无效，因为很多非武装人员没有拔枪的姿势，而有些是不能换甲，或者没血槽。
5 可以置换主角的模型，是邪恶的开端，相信大家记得质量效应为什么被卫道士们批了。
6 相信能够感受质量效应的好处的人都不需要太详细的翻译了，所以我只是简单注一下。

Haven't seen this posting yet, thought some1 else would have tried this, but seems to be the only one  

Anyway. You can play as Ashley as character, except you will have accept the voice will still be jane shepard.
无论如何，你可以用Ashley做主角，当然了你得接受声音依然是女shepard的（后面提到你用男shepard建立游戏，把人物换成Ashley的话也行，但更加怪了）。

Before you start, might I remind you that you must backup the file we are gonna edit, just in case... Also the directory you need to find is not the main root of where you installed the game.
开始之前，备份你准备编辑的文件以防万一。同时你要找的目录不是游戏的安装目录。

Go to your documents root, and find the folder BioWare.
在我的文档那里，找到BioWare文件夹

Open up Masseffect folder and then config.
打开Masseffect/ config

Backup the file BIOGame.ini (copy it somewhere)
备份

Open the file with notepad.
用写字板打开

Find the line:（找到这行）
m_femaleActorType=
BIOG_Female_Player_C.
Human.Human_Female

Just put // in front of it;
//m_femaleActorType=
BIOG_Female_Player_C.Human.

加//到上面说的这行前面（就像编程时说，把某某代码变成注释）


Put the next line under it (its one line);
m_femaleActorType=
BIOG_HumanFemale_Hench_C.

把你要的人物的代码贴过去（这个例子就是Ashley，之后十多页的帖子都在讨论哪个代码是谁，那个人能不能用）


Save the file.
保存

Start Mass Effect.
打开质量效应

If it complains about your copy being changed and you need to reinstall, ignore and restart masseffect again if needed.
如果出现你需要重新安装的提示，别理它。需要的话重启质量效应

Start A new game.
开始新游戏
Select 'Enter New ID' as option for profile reconstruction.
选'Enter New ID'

Select 'Custom' Female
Yes, you still see the normal jane char. at this point.
选'Custom' Female，是的，这时候你仍然看到正常的女Shepard。

Enter any name, you might prefer Ashley as name  
输入名字

Now select the normal options for creating your char.
选择其他选项

Do not customize the look of your char; so select 'Confirm Appearance'.
不要修改你角色的样子，确定。

Confirm the rest of the options and weee, play as Ashley  
确定其他一系列资料

Ow and no garantee the whole game will work fine. I only just played the first mission with her. Also have no idea what it will do with your safegames, so back them up just to be safe.
不保证整个游戏都正常运行。我只玩到第一个mission。（作者这样说而已，但从回帖来看，没什么大问题）也不知道这样的改动对你的记录有什么影响，所以为了安全，也备份它们吧，

The Geth Model won't work.
跟帖，说geth的模型用不了。甚至会造成死机（注意了！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！）

The Codes for the crew members are in the BIOGame.ini. They are all listed and seem to work.
The NPCs are a bit trickier. Open the FileIndex.txt (located in Mass Effect\BioGame\CookedPC) and search for a known entry like BIOG_HumanFemale_Hench_C
There is a list with all GameObjects\Characters and a bit further down a list with all humanoids/aliens

But the lines are a bit different to the ones in the BIOGame.ini
So you have to change them to fit.
for example with Joker:
BIOG_Pilot_Hench_C is Joker but in the BIOGame.ini they have a format like this:
BIOG_Pilot_Hench_C.hench_pilot

The downside is, that some NPCs don't have all animations. Like Joker, who can't walk (what a surprise). So he stands all the time and floats when you walk
不好的地方是，有些NPC没有完全的动作。像我们的驾驶员Joker同学，居然不能走。所以他会一直站着，你移动的话他会浮过去（注：我以前游戏见过，出错的时候会张开双臂浮动，样子很诡异）

If you follow the same method for the other NPCs without a hench in their line then I guess, for the Geth it would be:
BIOG_Geth_C.geth or BIOG_Saren_C.saren for Saren.
Haven't tried all of them, but the Geth cause the game to crash and for most of the alien NPCs I'm a little bit confused... BIOG_ASA_ARM_NKD_R. ? for a asari NPC. How to change this?

In BIOGame.ini change the
m_femaleActorType=
BIOG_Female_Player_C.Human.Human_Female
into
m_femaleActorType=
BIOG_Asari_Hench_C.hench_asari

edit: There is no space between the = and BIOG. Everything in one line

edit: the change works only with new games and then, only if you chose custom female(or male for m_maleActor...) and take the standard settigs for the appearance. Don't change anything there.（这里说了，选自定义角色，不要改相貌）
Old Saves are not affected, too, but your Character wears the casual clothes the NPC normaly wears when you're on the Normandy. That's all.（不影响旧记录，但是你的角色在诺曼底上会穿常服而不是军服）

And a big plus for testing: A save of a new game with a different model uses a different model if you change it a second time. Like, play as Ashley, then change it to Liara etc
So you don't have to start over and over again
对于测试的小白鼠们有一个好消息是：记录会随着你改变而改变。你新建一个人物，用Ashley，然后改文件，就可以变成Liara。不用重新建一个人物。

some say, that you are unable too zoom with changed models, but i havent testet that yet..

As for finding "what'll work"--it's pretty simple----if they're a "civilian" then they can't draw a weapon. You can draw as a hired guard from Noveria, but not as just any random person walking about. Any "security" officer works fine. (And Benezia). But any doctor/researcher--you can use them and walk around, but they can't draw a weapon. Basically--if you've never seen them with a weapon in the normal game, then you can't use a weapon playing as them.

Except characters from Feros, where NOBODY seems to work AT ALL.
很多平民不能拔枪，基本上在游戏里没拔过枪的你就别想你用了ta的模型能拔枪了。

That does work for the Asari councilor (I could have sworn I tried that) but unfortunately she can only walk and not draw.

Also, I CAN draw and fire with the Asari Scientist above. The HUD doesn't display properly during the first mission and she is stuck in her science outfit so I don't think it's worth playing but if you wanted...
很多人跟帖说很正点的asari议会代表只能走不能拔枪（可惜啊可惜，估计占卜店的神女也是这样了）

Hey guys, thought I register to tell you that:
The line for Shiala with the green face and Tatoos or whatever that should be, is:

no Grenades
no Life bar
no armor

but no probs with drawing weapon, and I had no crashes. In the beginning she will be a normal asari commando. On Eden Prime I changed the Armor ( not optically ). After changing she was your most wanted green Shiala. Perhaps you can change it already at the Normandy, i didn?t test.
The line for the blue Shiala is:

BIOA_WAR_C.ASR.WAR30_asaricommando02

but she can?t draw her weapon.

没玩到后面，这里提到一个绿色脸的asari，叫Shiala。
