IGN: Can you describe the basic vision for how wargear should work in the sequel? Why head in this direction and what purpose do you think it will serve?
能否请您描述下战争装备的基本概念和这理念会如何体现?为什么会在此道大下功夫而你们想从中得到什么预期回报?
Jonny Ebbert: When we started to design Dawn of War II we took a hard look at the RTS genre, and tried to find the areas where the genre was falling short. We came up with three key things: long-term goals, attachment to your units, and short-term rewards.
当我们开始设计战争黎明2的时候我们放眼RTS领域试图从一些前作总结出点东西最终提出了3个关键的部分:长期目标,结合到你的单位.短期回报
To fix this we've added compelling long-term goals in DoW II (you're on a quest to save the galaxy), and we've really tried to drive up the attachment you feel to your units by giving you a smaller force that you know by name, and soldiers that get better with each shot they fire.
为了达成这个理念我们将结合dow2长期目标(你要拯救银河),并且我们尝试把这些带名字的装备给你的小队给你的部队一些实力的提升(此段待议),而部队单位也会因此而提高战斗力
Wargear is the magic ingredient that makes it all come together. Wargear is that steady stream of rewards that drives you towards your long-term goal, and also amps up your attachment to your units by letting you tweak their role on the battlefield.
当收集很多战争装备在一起的时候可以得到神奇的效果.战争装备将会是刺激玩家继续玩下去以达到长期目标的动力,从实在的角度讲你的单位在战争装备的支援下可以更好地在战场上扮演他们的角色.
IGN: Who can actually be equipped with gear? Is it just the unit commanders or is it every unit in the squad?
确切地说谁会装备这些部件?是小队指挥官还是每个小队成员?
Jonny Ebbert: You can customize the wargear on your force commander and the sergeants in each of your squads.
你可以为你的部队指挥官和每个小队的士官自定义他们的装备
IGN: Can you swap out equipment during a mission or do you have to wait until it's over?
你能否在任务中交换手下的装备?还是要在任务结束后才可以?
Jonny Ebbert: We want you focusing on your units, and what they're doing when you're on the battlefield. This is why we have you equip your squads between missions. We also love the cool factor of getting a mission, and figuring out how you want to trick out your force to tackle that mission.
我们想让你全心全意关注你的单位在战场的一举一动.这也是我们要让你在任务间隔的时候才能自定义小队装备的原因.我们也非常喜欢这些影响战斗任务的酷酷因素,并且方式会影响到玩家在游戏时候所采取的技巧和完成任务的方式.
IGN: Are there requirements for weapon usage? Like does your unit need to be a certain level / have specific stats to use certain items? How does that all work?

Jonny Ebbert: Each of your squads has a unique role on the battlefield, so some of the equipment will be limited to certain squads. But there will also be equipment that has no restrictions.
你的每个小队都在战场上扮演着独一无二的角色,所以小队的有些物品得有使用限制.但是装备物品是没有限制和约束的.
IGN: If a unit or their commander dies in battle, what happens to their gear? Is it stored in a permanent database and always accessible or do you lose the gear if a unit dies?
如果有个单位或者他们的指挥官在战斗中阵亡了,他们的装备怎么办?这会是一个永久保存的数据可以随意装备还是说如果你损失了某个单位那你也会损失他的装备.
Jonny Ebbert: One of our mantras for Dawn of War II has been "No starting over!" We think that's been one of RTS's biggest failings to this point…you spend 60 minutes building up all kinds of cool stuff, only to abandon it the next game.

Not so in DoW II! You never lose your progress, and you definitely never lose your wargear. DoW II is about making constant forward progress, and never losing anything you've earned.
在战争黎明2就不会拉!你不会失去你的进度,并且绝对不会损失你的装备.战争黎明2的进度是恒量续进的,而且你不会损失任何你已经获得的东西.
IGN: We know you can get drops from fallen foes and rewards for completing side-missions – how do those compare?
我们知道你可以从死去的敌人身上获取拉装备也可以从完成支线任务获得奖励,那这些物品比较起来呢?(我想到了...PVP装备和副本装备...)
Jonny Ebbert: One is a tasty reward you'll get if you finish a mission successfully. The other is always just one more kill away. Each one is cool in its own way, and together they make for a very addictive game.
你要是成功完成一项任务可以获得丰厚的回报.其他的获得自然就是杀人掉装备(待议).每一件装备都是独到而牛逼,总体来说会让你玩得很上瘾~.
IGN: In addition to whatever base damage / special damage types weapons / items give, will any ever unlock any kinds of special attacks or abilities?
顺便问下这些武器和装备都提供什么基础伤害和属性伤害么,会不会解锁一些特殊攻击或者能力呢?
Jonny Ebbert: Wargear in Dawn of War II is about way more than stat boosts. Wargear adds entire new dimensions to your squads, and defines their role on the battlefield. So, yes, you'll see lots of special attacks and abilities that are granted by wargear.
战争黎明2的战争装备不光是堆数据的,战争装备为你的单位开辟一道新空间,可以定义他们在战场上的角色.并且-是的,你可以在单位获得战争装备后看到很多附加的特殊攻击和技能.
IGN: Will certain types of armor or weapons only drop on certain planets? If so, will you be able to replay missions to try and collect as many types of those weapons as you can?

Jonny Ebbert: We're designing hundreds of items that can be discovered in the game. Some items will be universal drops. Some will be specific to a map, a planet, or attached to some cool mechanics we'll be talking about later in the year. Others will be mission rewards. And our goal is to make each item as cool as possible.

Something else that we're very excited to talk about: you won't get all of the items in just one play-through of the campaign. You can play through more than once as the same race, and discover new wargear each time. Or you can play it through as a different race, and every item will be new and unseen.

IGN: Are you focusing on making each piece of equipment look unique? So if you swap one piece for another, will it make a visible impact?

Jonny Ebbert: Wargear wouldn't be much fun if it all looked the same so, yes, you'll definitely see a visual impact in your wargear.

IGN: When playing co-operatively, how are looting priorities set? Is it basically whichever player steps over the item first picks it up or is there a looting order that can be implemented?

Jonny Ebbert: We're going to be revealing our co-op mechanics later this year, but I will say that players will never have to worry about loot order, or which player picks up which item. We want them focused on having fun, and making sure their units are kicking as much ass as humanly possible.

IGN: To what extent is wargear being incorporated online? Is it being limited to single-player and co-operative play only or is there an option when setting up a server to allow or disallow wargear use?

Jonny Ebbert: We've got some really cool surprises in store for multiplayer, and we'll be talking about those later in the year. But, yes, wargear will play a significant role in multiplayer, and we think players are going to love it.

IGN: Does the equipment you get differ depending on which race you're playing?

IGN: Can you go over the name coloring conventions? What colors are there and, if you see an item has, say, a blue name, what sorts of statistical benefits should you expect?

Jonny Ebbert: Yes, we've color coded the names so you'll know just how excited you should get when you see it drop, or when you see it in your inventory.

也就是说装备是随机的,把RPG收集变成RTS收集?

怀疑DOW2会进化成即使策略....
我还是喜欢现在的DOW~~
当我毅然跳出机舱时,生与死对我来说已经毫无意义...咦?偶滴伞包呢?啊!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

哪要看战争黎明2的这次革命性变化能不能得到玩家的认同,如果得到玩家的认同,我想以后的RTS好有可能会沿着这个方向演化,如果得不到,我想水雷好有可能出资料片会大部分保留以前的作风,而少部分保留这次的特色

RTS就是即时策略,DOW就是即时策略,DOW2还是即时策略.所以,完全不知道你在说什么.
