UK-based publisher Deep Silver have today announced their historically inspired latest: Alexander the Great. This "3D historical real-time strategy and role-playing game", is being developed for the PC by Meridian 93 - where work has been under way since February.

"There is a huge amount of interest in classical history at the moment and this title is a beautiful 3D gaming experience, we think this will be a great success for us," enthused Craig McNichol, MD of distributor Koch Media. Naturally, players of Alexander the Great will be placed in charge of the great man's Macedonian army, and we're guessing all manner of skirmishes and colonisations will ensue.

其实在《海勒斯的命运》里面就已经有了亚历山大的种族，只不过是作为战役出现，没有在随机地图里面出现。连盾牌都没有变。这个系列真是要做到像哈利波特一样又臭又长吗？
