But why then is the participation (or training) in a murder simulator (for adults) not a crime?
A movie or book, or play, is different because you are simply a witness to the crime, with no control. A murder simulator requires active participation (often repeatedly) and this training is likely to be of use to a terrorist or other criminal, especially if the representation of say New York is virtually accurate. Imagine the possible use if one was made of the London Underground ...
